Right at Home was founded in 1995 by Allen Hager in Omaha, Nebraska. Unlike any other home care franchisor, Allen’s background was in hospital administration. He witnessed older patients check out of the hospital, struggle with the recovery process while at home, and then be readmitted to the hospital. Seeing the need, he created a way to provide ongoing assistance for clients who are aging or have disabilities in the comfort of their homes. After spending five years fine-tuning the business model, the Right at Home franchise was born!

This course is designed to familiarize them with all aspects of the business. They’ll hear from experts throughout the organization whose goal is to provide you with a solid foundation so they can hit the ground running when they open their business.
Timeline and Process to Become a Franchise Owner
It typically takes 30-60 days for us to complete our research on each other. During this time, we want to get to know your prospect as a person – their background, their accomplishments, and how business ownership will help them reach their goals. We also give them the opportunity to get to know us as individuals and as a company, and to get answers about everything they need to know prior to moving forward with us.

Unlike many other home care companies, Right at Home's new franchisee training is a comprehensive program consisting of virtual and in-person training. In addition, all new franchisees go through our RightStart program with their RightStart Manager, so they're set up to thrive within the Right at Home system!
Owner Qualifications: Their days will include: Recruiting and overseeing their care staff. Their staff members are the ones providing the day-to-day care services for your clients. Conducting assessments for new clients and families to determine need for services and creating a customized care plan that matches the family’s needs and budget. Meeting with families periodically to ensure services are meeting or exceeding expectations. Managing the finances and office administration tasks. Going home every night knowing that what they did that day made a positive difference in the lives of people in their community. As their business grows, so will their staff.
